if you wished you had a friend with a nice home to stay at in the city for a few days, this is the feeling you get in this hotel. Location couldn’t be better, away from the “dark” side of the city steps away from the bright Union sq. If shootist your thing all major luxury brands are less than five minutes away. Super comfortable, clean and modern with the warmest staff. Maria at the front desk told us all the good spots to see and the restaurants we should visit in 5 min without even asking! Safe private garage literally a few meters away if you have a vehicle. We stayed in suite 904 which is highly recommended. Spacious and bright. The polished concrete floor, the modern rugs and the minimal decor made the suite look double the size. Every single day we said a hundred times how lucky we were to book here because I had a worry with all the crazy stories I ve heard about “dangerous homeless people”. I was looking for a hotel at the fisherman’s wharf area which is sublime but after sunset when the tourists go it’s empty so you need a cab ride to downtown. Super happy with the location. Super safe.

Checked in by Kosal who provided excellent customer service and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel has a list of restaurants nearby and in addition Kosal knows the right places around town for amazing meals! Staff are very responsive to additional requests such as a microwave that was brought promptly. A robe and slippers are also provided upon request, robe highly recommended. I enjoyed a lovely bubble bath and had great rest in the comfortable bed. Unlimited coffee in the room is also provided and a mini fridge. I stayed on the 7th floor with a lovely open city view. On my last night Kosal offered a complimentary bottle of wine. I really appreciate the effort to ensure my stay was unforgettable!

The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. This is a small gem in the city that should not be overlooked. My stay at this hotel was even better than my stay at a larger hotel close by. The tub option is wonderful and the hot water is immediate and on demand. The room was quiet and the other guests were quiet and respectful. These rooms are comparable to other more expensive hotel rooms in the city and a much better value and stay experience.

Union Square is our preferred area to stay in SF and the night we arrived, the homeless situation seemed to be more in check. We had been warned that it had gotten much worse recently so we were pleasantly surprised (for a minute). Thus hotel is a block off Powell. The lobby isn't much to look at but the staff were very friendly. We received a room upgrade upon arrival b/c we booked via booking.com and two complimentary waters.

The location was fantastic, staff amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Yes there are homeless people in the area, was it worse than any other big city - no! I would imagine its shocking if you aren't used to it, but don't let it put you off exploring the area. The room size was amazing for a boutique hotel on union square, rooms where cleaned daily and the bed very comfortable.
